Frequently Asked Questions
How often are the Fit Broth Fasting Challenges offered?
The Fit Broth Fasting Challenges and programs are offered on a monthly basis. Our programs always begin on the first Monday of every month, the 36 Hour Bone Broth Fast always begins at 7pm on that first Monday. During the day Monday leading up to our Fast, we eat meals regularly but within a certain set of guidelines to ensure the Fasting Challenge successfully meets our goals, at 7pm we begin to fast!
How do Fit Broth programs work?
We offer a variety of different programs (see our offerings on the drop down menu). Make commitment for a date that you know you can be successful ( all programs except VIP Coaching start the first Monday of every month). Once you sign up, you will be added into a Facebook Group that will be created for your chosen month. You will receive a Fasting Kit the week prior to your Challenge date. Details about the pick-up/delivery will be posted in the Facebook group chat. You will receive detailed guidelines, instructions, recipes and shopping lists the week prior to your chosen start date. Live daily guidance as you navigate through this experience is conducted through the group chat.
What nutrients are in bone broth?
Bone broth is packed with nutrients and minerals like calcium, phosphorus, sulphur, magnesium and collagen. It’s easily digestible and provides beneficial amino acids to nourish your gut, skin and joints.
What bones are used in Fit Broth?
Our recipe is strictly made up of organic, free range chicken bones. We locally source our chicken bones from De Boers Free-Range Chicken Farms located in Ontario, Canada.
What happens during ketosis?
Ketosis is a metabolic state in which your body uses fat and ketones rather than glucose (sugar and carbs) as its main source of fuel. Once you’re in this state, you will begin to burn fat 24 hours per day.
Can I exercise during my fast?
Vigorous exercise is not recommended while you fast. During these 36 hours, your body needs to focus its energy on cellular repair, not aerobic activity. We recommend opting for a lighter form of exercise like walking or yoga during your fasting time.
